Fiona Santini - Sales Advisor

Fiona Santini - Sales Advisor at Barratt Homes‘When you are selling houses to people, it’s hard not to get emotionally involved. I often meet potential purchasers when there is little more than a building site to look at. So I’m in contact with them right through the build, speaking to solicitors and estate agents, managing delays and making sure the property passes final inspection. You get to know people really well. Mind you, if you’ve ever bought a house, you’ll know just how many ups and downs there can be until you actually exchange contracts!

‘It makes life much easier when you work in an organisation like Barratt. There is a lack of bureaucracy here which really helps. Everyone is accessible and approachable. Even people like the MD and Regional Managers – they are all just a phone call away. So if you are in a position to make a sale, you’ve got all the support you need to make it happen. I’ve called people at seven and eight o’clock at night. The attitude is always ‘we can get round anything to help customers get their home.

‘For me, the most important aspect of the Barratt culture is that they recognise individual contributions. If you work hard, you definitely get rewarded well. In June last year, I was named National Sales Advisor of the Year. I received a £5000 holiday so I am going to Las Vegas to celebrate my birthday.’
